A very big part of Microsoft Teams is the ability to have text based conversations in any channel of your teams site. These chats, depending on the subject and intensity of the disucssion, can get very lengthy so being able to mark a specific comment in that chat is an important feature and Microsoft Teams supports that capability.
If your team members are collaborating on a key document in Microsoft Teams then it is easy to add a Tab that contains just that document so it can be a focal point for the team.
Integral to the setup of Microsoft Teams is the ability to easily create and join meetings through the service. There are options to schedule them or create an impromptu meeting just as if you ran into a colleague at the water cooler.
The next step in setting your Microsoft Team after building your first channels is the option to add a Connector to individual channels to bring in data from other sources your team uses/needs.
Once you have created a team in Microsoft Teams it is time to start building out the collaboration site with Channels.
